Stamping: Sweets & Treats Stamp

Took out my favourite stamp today to try and practice new stamping technique.

I used WPlus9 Sweets & Treats Stamp set for this project and my favourite Brilliance Pigment Ink Pad.
I used water colour paper as my base as I'm going to experiment how do both Alcohol marker and water colour pencil will react to the paper.

The one on the left is obviously a failed one. I tried to add icing stamp directly on the cupcake but it turned out to be so weird-looking.

So I moved on and try again with another pattern and end up with the one on the right. Stacking a few melting ice-creams and since the left part looks a bit awkward if left empty, I fixed it by drawing another "ice-cream ball" with my artline200, pretending the heart stick shapes are sprinkles.

These were the easy ones. Using my favourite colouring medium - watercolour pencil and blend it with my water brush. It's easy and therapeutic!

I only used alcohol marker for the stacking cupcake and the rest with water colour pencil. The alcohol marker did not turn out well, it smeared and hard to control if you use on watercolour paper. I do not recommend unless you are confident in handling it.

Still thinking what to do with these cute little cupcakes. Maybe another birthday box card?

Blue Skies are ahead!

Another card that I've made today! One layer, simple technique with some layering stamp. It's specially made for one of my readers :) I hope she loves this!

I would also like to thank her for supporting and giving me kind words! I'm happy that I've started this, although I'm not selling yet, I'm enjoying making new friends at the moment.

I'm looking forward to have known more people around the world :) If you are interested, you may drop me a line at my email.

Mainly used Lawn-Fawn's Blue Skies Stamp set for the hot air balloon and clouds.

For the "Thank you" word, I used Avery Elle's Fabulous Florals stamp set.

I used my Brilliance Pigment Black Ink for the stamp image.

For the Red " Blue Skies are ahead", I used Ranger's Puff embossing powder to create a 3D texture and look.

For the tiny tiny heart shapes, I drew it with my alcohol marker.

This simple card took me about 15 mins to complete everything :) You may have a try!

Cheers!

You Color My World!

Yay! Finally manage to get my own me-time after a hectic week! I sometimes complain that I do not have enough varieties for my supplies. They are never ever enough ;p So I think I've got a new life goal today!

I'm telling myself MUST get marry to a man who is rich enough to be my LIFETIME sponsor of my craft supplies ---> Haha! I'm just kidding! but I think having a guy who would buy you any craft supplies is one of the sweetest things on earth!

Back to the card, I'm using Lawn Fawn - Color My World Stamp set and its coordinating dies for most of the pop up elements.

The pink embossed paper was by Darie Embossing Folder. I touch up with some washi tape I got it from Pavillion Tokyo Street (no name for the brand though). Coloured with my TouchNew Marker and last but not least, heart shape felt sticker from Toy'r us!

I hope you enjoy the card.

Say cheeeeeeeeeeese!

Sending happy thoughts

When I'm not making card, I stamp! when I stamp, I coloured them too!

Still playing with my TouchNew Marker, I have friends asking me where did I get it from, I will share a post with my reviews and more about it soon.

Spent my weekend time with this therapeutic hobby!

This image is from HeroArts Playful Animal Stamp Set. I coloured it with my TouchNew - alcohol based marker. The black ink did smeared a little so I've to always be extra careful when I'm dealing with them.

I have also gave this kitty a bow tie with my black artline pen.

I've also stamped extra one to compare different colouring medium. I've used Watercolour pencil for the left, and alcohol marker on the right.

On the left: You get to have more control on the colour shading, contrast, and mixing part. Simple technique required.

On the right: More vibrant and fuller colour, need more technique in blending colour. Does not smear when re-touch with water.

A cute card is born!

For the grass, I've used the dies from My Favourite Things - Grassy Fields.

For the Balloon, I used Kaisercraft - Pop!Treats

and the wordings, I used WPlus9 - Strictly Sentiments 2.

p/s: Anyone who would like to do snail mail exchange with me? You may write to me at psrgreetings@gmail.com :D

Big hugs for you!

Sending this to my bff who is currently pursuing her studies in UK now :)

For the wreath, I used Avery Elle Stamps - fabulous florals and its coordinating dies, and My Favourite Things Stamps - London Mouse for the bungalow.

Also using my Touch marker to colour the images, and glitter them with wink of stella.

It's my first time doing shaker card, it's not as easy as I thought with the limited supplies with me, and I had a hard time placing the yellow card down (that's because I've used the wrong method, hehe)

Overall as long as you can still identify it's a shaker card, I considered it a SUCCESS! YAY!

Comment below if you'd like to receive a shaker card from me too, let's do an exchange!

It's up on The Artsy Craftsy !

Months ago, I was really excited when Shia Lynn from The Artsy Craftsy posted on Facebook asking anyone who is willing to take up as a contributor on her blogazine by volunteer. After checking my schedule,I commented YES! ME ME ME! Shia Lynn was a little surprised when she saw my comment (I guessed she thinks I'm super busy?) Haha! So that's how we were connected.

Back to the card. It's a simple project that may only takes up 15-20 mins depending on experience, if you like something new, this is definitely worth trying! No experience required.

There is also a giveaway running on The Artsy Craftsy blog, simply by following the instructions given at <click here> .

Have fun!

p/s: We are also thirst for our first 100 Likes on FB! Please please please, truly appreciate if you could give us a like on our Facebook page  :) Cheers!

SHARING - Exploring embossing power

Finally! the very first post for Paper Scissors Rock!

I must say I'm very happy to be able to settle down with my blogsite today! Was struggling with wordpress earlier on the layout and I've decided to come back to blogger!

Sharing with you what I've done today.

There are quite a number of varieties embossing powders available in the market, but as a newbie, I've totally no idea the differences between them.
I've tried out two today :
1. The normal Embossing Powder by Ranger - Enchanted Gold
and
2. Embossing Puffs by Ranger - RED

Firstly, I stamp by using Dew Drop VersaMagic Multi-surface Chalk Ink - Mango Madness
and for the red one I used DewDrop Fast Drying Pigment Ink Brilliance - Rocket Red

while the image is still moist with the stamp ink, I quickly pour over the embossing powder GENEROUSLY and heat set it with my ranger heating tool.

I don't think I'm quite successful with the Embossing Puffs today though. Gonna give it a try again tomorrow hoping for better result--newbie I am :)

This is the successful one for the normal embossing powder.
I think it can be replaced by the clear embossing powder if you do not want the shiny effect.
The smily face part was filled by Wink of Stella - purchased from Simon Says Stamp website too!

Still much more to learn, but I'm enjoying every bits of it!

**GOOD NIGHT**
